The real estate industry is constantly evolving and successful agents are diligent in adapting and growing their professional knowledge. It is a focus of HAR to offer a variety of educational classes and opportunities to our members.
There are a variety of ways to schedule classes. HAR offers
• Live instructor classes
• iCE (internet webinar CE classes) at the board office.
• Heartland CE Shop Heartland REALTORS CE Shop an affiliation for online classes you can complete from the comfort of your home or office.

NAR Specialty Designations
NAR offers a variety of specialty designations. A few of these include: Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) and many more. Florida Licensing Requirements for Real Estate
Real Estate Associate
To become a real estate sales associate, you must successfully complete a 63-hour course approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission, submit the appropriate application with fee, have electronic fingerprints taken, and pass the state exam.

Real Estate Broker
To become a real estate broker, you must successfully complete a 72-hour course approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission, submit the appropriate application with fee, have electronic fingerprints taken, and pass the state exam.

First Renewal
Real estate sales association - must complete 45 hours post license education

Broker – must complete 60 hours post license education

Future Renewals
After the first renewal, and for subsequent renewals, sales associates and brokers are required to complete 14 Hours Continuing Education including

  • 3 hours Core Law
  • 3 hours Code of Ethics
  • 8 hours Specialty Credits of your choice, approved for CE credit
